Jamie was happy with his Indoor Seasons opening effort telling the Club that he was “Really pleased with today, probably my best ever opening weekend so can’t complain with it still being December. Definitely felt rusty in both races as well so loads of room for improvement by the time we hit the Northerns!”……………”Good to lay down a decent 60m marker as well, just in case we get a second annual Blackburn sprints championship later in the season haha!” A good challenge there for the other sprinters!

Senior Thrower Simon Brown contested the Shot Putt and added 35 cms to his previous best to set a new PB of 12.08m and told the Club that “Despite not actually supposed to be competing at the sportcity indoor (something to do with insurance in the shot for seniors) even though i double checked if it was open to seniors, i managed a throw of 12.08m”.

Bottom of age U20 – Morgan Angland – came 2nd in her 60m Hurdles Race in a time of 9.88 and commented that she was “Really pleased with my first performance of racing in U20, looking forward to next race”
