Carly wiped a huge 17 minutes off her previous best time finishing in 388th place with a time of 3hr 27.58. Her first ever marathon saw her run 4hr. 17.01, her latest run representing a fantastic improvement and she is now targeting 3.15. There was another brilliant run by V45 Rachel in her first ever Marathon when she finished 53rd in a great time of 2hr 56.16 a time which places her 3rd in the National Rankings for V45 Women.

York 10 Mile – October 9th

A great day for Joe Monk too over in York where he took 2nd place overall in a fantastic new PB time of 54.13, six minutes faster than the first time he ever ran the distance. Delighted as you can imagine, Joe told the Club afterwards that he was over the moon, still in shock. Set off pretty quick and after 3 miles there was just two of us and I sat behind for 9 mile then he kicked on. Went through 10k in 33:31 feeling strong and thought I’d be under 56. I managed to keep pace and came away with a 6 minute pb, nice belated birthday present”.
