Alison Leonard made her debut in the Half-Marathon when she contested the Bupa Great Birmingham Half Marathon on October 20th and what a good debut – finishing in 207th place out of 1500 finishers and in a time of 85.46.

Alison told us thatI ended up running the whole thing with another girl from uni who was running in memory of her coach Todd Bennett too and we ran it all the way together complete with hands held over the line; it was a fantastic experience and more through luck than judgement we managed 85:46!”

On her success in fund raising Alison was pleased and said “I was hoping to get £250 which I did, so really happy. I don’t know all the people who sponsored me from Harriers but really do appreciate it so if you could pass that on that would be great”
