Alison Leonard who recently won an 800m Race in Belgium in 2.00.50 was lined up against a quality field at the Birmingham Grand Prix on Sunday, finishing 4th in 2.01.06. She was pleased with her Race and told the Club that she “Was reasonably pleased with yesterday’s race, I thought I raced well until the last 100m where I didn’t hang on well enough, but I think it was a solid performance – I was hoping for more but will need to be patient!”
Alison is now “sorting out Russian visa for Euro Team Champs… that’s my next race in 2 weeks time” She will also have another Blackburn Harrier on the Team with Hammer Thrower Sophie Hitchon who will be part of the GB Squad contesting the Championships.
