Blackburn Harriers Ben Fish and Paul Bradshaw were amongst the competitors. Ben finished in 12th place overall in a time of 66.46 and said afterwards that he was very happy. I didn’t know what to expect. Strange, I always run well after burying myself in a marathon. Glad to be back to where I should be after an awful pathetic struggle at Nottingham marathon”. Paul finished 179th in a time of 79.59. This was his debut at the distance and he was very pleased telling us“First ever half marathon and snuck under 1.20 with 1.19.59! Awesome atmosphere in Cardiff”

Came across John Orrell recently walking up and down the Track with a Kettle Bell held above his head. On enquiry at this strange sight, John informed me that he was in training for this years 3 Peaks Cyclo-Cross. I thought it is hard enough running the Three Peaks let alone carrying a bike as well!!

The Race was won by Rob Jebb in the astonishing time of 2.59.25 – the only athlete ever to complete the Race in under three hours. Report on this can be read HERE

John finished in 483rd place with a time of 5hr.18min. 23 seconds. This is his third attempt at the Race posting 6.00.35 in 2012 and 5.16.21 in 2013 which means he has knocked over 40 minutes off his first time effort in the Race.
