| POINTS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2011 Final 2011 Standings (PDF file - new window) Our 6th Club Championship Competition will follow the same format as before with 12 races in total spread across the year. The best 7 scores will count from the twelve races and the winners will be the individuals with the highest score from these 7 races. There will be a Men’s and Lady's category as usual. The handicap
competition will continue again for this year with the ratings based on
the performances in the 2010 Club Champs races. The competition is open to all Harriers members who are old enough to compete in these races, regardless of 1st or 2nd claim. After each race the table will be updated and posted on the Harriers website with a brief race report. Prizes will be awarded at the Presentation evening at the end of November 2011. In a slight twist this year, we have started with the David Staff Fell Race as I wanted to keep a Dashers race in there. This year I am trying something different for late spring / early summer. We have always struggled to get good attendances at this time of year. We’ve tried Leyland 10, Freckleton,…. and this year a couple of Burnley Grand Prix races and a Badger Trail race, all with little success, sometimes only 3 or 4 Harriers in attendance. So this year will have the entire Chorley Wednesday Night Series in the Champs and see how that goes. Richard Taylor 2011
