U15 Jacob Roberts set a new meeting record and a new PB in the Hammer with a Throw of 49.71m, agonisingly close to that 50m mark which moves him up to joint sixth in the National Rankings. You wouldn’t bet against him not doing it before the end of the season now. Jacob then went and won the Discus with 30.39m which was another PB by nearly two metres.

Charlotte Williams broke her own U13 Girls Cub Record in the Discus and set a new PB in winning her event with a throw of 27.51m nearly two metres further than the record she set a couple of weeks ago. She also jumped 1.25m in the High Jump and came second in the Shot with 8.24m. Good day for Charlie. Charlie now stands at the top of the North West Rankings and 8th Nationally.

Emily Warren, another U13 girl who has been in great form this season, pulled off another double here with victories in the 200m (28.8) and 800m (2.40.5).

U10G Eleanor Alsop came second in the 75m Heat (13.4) and then ran a touch faster in the Final with a time of 13.3 to finish 4th. She then went on to win the U10 Girls 800m in 3.11.4 and she will be pleased with what she achieved on the day.

U13 Olivia Blow finished 3rd in the 100m (16.1) and finished 3rd in the Long Jump with 3.42m which was over half a metre new PB and a great effort.

U17 Ross Liddle had to run solo in the 400m Hurdles as there were no other competitors but still managed a good time of 62.9. Always difficult in these circumstances. Ross contested the Long Jump and placed 3rd with a jump of 5.32m.

U17 Connor Davison won the Hammer with 26.42m, won the Shot Putt with 10.80m and came 2nd in the Discus with 19.03m which was a pretty good days work.

Bottom of age U20 Ben Aspinall battled it out with one of his local rivals James Blackburn in the Triple Jump. Ben jumped into second place with 13.34m which was just short of his PB set only the day before in the Northern League Play Off.
