Brian Fogarty has had a tremendous year in the Triathlon already having qualified for the Ironman in Hawaii and is continuing his rich vein of form with a top three finish in the Rubicon Half Ironman featuring 136 finishers held on September 1st at Newby Hall in North Yorkshire.

Brian finished in 3rd place and was pleased with his performance on the day and had this to say after the event “The Rubicon half ironman was the my first race since UK ironman so although I wanted a good race in some ways the pressure was off! I wanted to take the race as an indicator of how well I had recovered from Bolton, and how my form was, as it is my only race I intend to do before Hawaii! The race turned out well, I finished 3rd and had a good solid race, I got the best bike split of the day which was pleasing as I was up against some strong riders. I now hope to have a good 3 weeks of training and be fully prepared for the World Championships”.
