Please note the following entry conditions:
- This is a category ” A-long “ race in winter, it is NOT suitable for NOVICES. There will be a cut-off time at check point 4, anyone not arriving by 12:30pm will be retired and directed back to Barley Village Hall.
- Runners most only enter this race if they have substantial experience of similar terrain, distance, conditions and of navigating across mountain terrain in poor conditions.
- Kit carried must comply with current FRA rules of competition and safety requirements. If you are not certain of them, please download from here. You should carry at least – waterproof full body cover with taped seams including attached hood. Whistle. Hat. Gloves. Emergency Food. Compass. Map. A GPS is not sufficient. Kit checks will be undertaken and anyone found without the kit at any stage of the race will be disqualified. This kit may not be enough. Runners must determine what additional kit is needed for safety in the conditions.
- Runners must read the FRA safety requirements, and by entering this race they agree to abide by all of them.
To enter the race please download the FRA form (it can take a few seconds to open), print it out and return it to the organiser by post with a cheque or postal order made payable to “Tour of Pendle” for the sum of £9.00 – for 2018 race. Coins through the post will probably be lost in mail sorting machines but ok delivered by hand. We don’t do electronic. Please check the price for 2019 with the organiser or the FRA Calendar.
Please read the declaration, sign it and only enter if you agree to abide by it and any instructions of the organiser and his team including any instructions to retire.

Whilst we prefer pre-entry, entry on the day may be accepted at the discretion of the organiser and providing the limit of 500 has not been reached – but will cost a minimum of £20.00 on the day.
