Jack Hindle and Liz Greenwood competed in their second International this year at the Junior Home International in Ireland to cap off a very good year for both of these young athletes.

The England Team won the Men’s U20 Team Title, the U20 Women’s Title, the U17 Women’s Title and came 3rd in the U17 Men’s Race which was great credit to all the athletes in those squads.

10636009_869783989698903_8428614775840326011_nLiz finished 5th overall in her U17 Race and was third counter for the England winning Team and told the Club afterwards that she ” had an amazing weekend in Ireland with all of the England team. As soon as we arrived in Glendalough we were off for a course recce although we couldn’t see more than 5m in front of us because of the fog. Luckily by Saturday it had cleared! The race was tough and I was a bit disappointed with the result but all in all it was a good experience and I had a great time.”

 Jack was 13th overall in his Race and commented after the Race that I was 13th I had a good ascent, but struggled with stomach cramps on the descent! This meant I had to slow!! I really enjoyed the race and it was great to run for England again! The course was fast and the competiton was a really high standard!
