After her latest success, Sam spoke to the Club and told us that “The first competition of the season has really exceeded my expectations. I was open minded as I prepared myself for this World Cup as I didn’t feel ‘ready’ to compete. Training at home has been on form recently for my running. I’m running better than ever; can’t pin point exactly why, probably hard work paying off? Overall my competition was just consistent and balanced – which is what I do best in pentathlon –  I am an all rounder with very strong run/swim capabilities. The change of weather was lovely. I went to Siesta Key beach today which is apparently one of the best beaches in the world. It is beautiful: white crystal sand and fresh clean sea. I’m looking forward to getting home and having some time to relax before getting back to training. It’s so early in the season and I have a lot to stay focused for. Thank you to everyone at Blackburn Harriers for the support and wishes. Sam x”
