Another National Title was won by Sophie Hitchon at Bedford last weekend in the U20/U23 England Athletics National Championships in the Hammer.
With four really consistent Throws and a best of 69.54 beating Louisa James from Shaftesbury into 2nd place by over 10 metres, her 69.54m Throw took the National Title and posted a new Championship Best Performance. In nine competitions this season she has already won 5 of them so far and in only two of them has she thrown less than sixty nine and a half metres which shows great consistency.
Rob Warner was also out on the Track during the previous week at the – Loughborough Students AC Open Meeting – Results HERE – placing 5th in the 800m in a time of 2:01.30
Overseas, Paul Bradshaw was in action in the Folksam Grand Prix in Gothenburg on June 15th in the 800m posting 1:52.07. Results HERE:
