On a cracking day for racing, Blackburn Harriers Men and Women were out in numbers at the annual Easter Rivington Pike Race which attracted 356 runners and they produced some excellent results. The Race was won by Rob Hope of Pudsey & Bramley in 17.18 and in second place with another really good run was Tom Cornthwaite running for Northumberland on the Fells in 17.41. Tom won the race in 2013 in a slightly slower time of 18.04.

Jack Hindle was first Harrier home in 21st place (19.23) and just seconds behind legendary athletes such as Paul Dugdale. Jack also took the 3rd U20 spot, which was backed up by Zac Howe in 28th (19.43) and 4th U20, with brother Joseph Howe also having a strong run in 56th (21.08) to take the 5th U20 place.

V45 Matt Nuttall just edged in front of Joseph by six seconds to take 54th place in 21.03. U17 Joe Campbell also had a good race to finish 69th in 21.47. Allan Hartley was next home in 107th place (22.54), followed by Paul Wilkinson 224th (26.38) and V65 Stuart Furness in 271st (28.43).

Blackburn took third placed Team of the day, consisting of Jack Hindle; Zac Howe; Matt Nuttall and Jospeh Howe which was a great result for their efforts.
