Blackburn Harriers Chairman – Tony Wood – who has been active at all levels of the Club during his 40 years membership, being an athlete, Coach, Official, Team Manager at Junior and Senior level, Committee Member and Club Chairman, was today, elected as the Chairman of Northern Athletics at the Annual Open Meeting held at Longford Stadium in Stretford.
In his statement to the Annual Meeting supporting his candidature Tony emphasised “the importance of Northern Athletics itself, continuing support for all Northern Championships, support for our Officials, and crucially, communication with all of our Clubs and Counties within the Region”
