After she got back home Liz told the Club that she “really enjoyed the race and atmosphere and even saw Tom Daley and Andy murray. Afterwards we went and watched the elite athletes in the marathon which was amazing especially when Mo Farah ran past us. Overall it was a fantastic experience running through the centre of London with all of the supporters and I was really happy with my race”.
Grace was equally pleased and commented “I went to the London mini marathon on Saturday 12th April on the north west coach along with my team mate Liz greenwood. I ran the last 3 miles of the marathon the next day representing the north west against other regions and the Borough’s of London. I came 40th overall out of over 100 runners and was very pleased as I went in hope for top 50 after 2 weeks off training. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will hopefully be picked next year as an u17”.
