Brian Fogarty gained his first ever win in the Triathlon at Keswick on May 19th. In a field of 276 finishers, Brian won the overall Race in a time of 2hrs.04.33, just over a minute in front of the runner up.

Brian came out of the pool in 25th place but gained all the time back and more by winning both the Bike Race (1hr.5.10) and the Run (45:30), for a great win. A happy Brian said that “those track sessions must be working”.

Chris Davies continues on a good run of form. Not content with running the 1500m and 3000m at Preston in the Mid Lancs on May 18th, he then contested the Blackpool Beach 10k on Sunday, finishing in 4th place (38:11) out of 125 runners finishing.

Shaun Livesey, fresh from winning the Dallam Dash 10k finished a good 6th in the Wholan Nook Trail Race on May 15th in a time of 28:39 – Results HERE.
The same day in the first Race of this years Horwich Jubilee 5 Mile series, attracting 255 runners, Brian Fogarty running his first ever 5 mile road race finished 9th (28.34); John Sutton 16th (29.04); Joseph Howe, also a debutant at the 5 mile distance had a good race to finish 54th (31.23) and 2nd U17 Man; Allan Hartley 80th (32.46) and Michael Nolan 130th (35.26). Some of our athletes have also been continuing to put an appearance in at the Park Runs. Liz Greenwood ran at the Burnley 5k Park Run and stormed to the Junior Womens 1st place in a time of 19:34 and a great 3rd place overall in the Race – Results HERE. On the same day, Paul Wilkinson ran at Preston in the Park Run coming 29th out of 136 runners (22:19) – Results HERE.
At the Oldham Park Run on May 11th Phil Morton was really pleased to have lowered his PB to 19:50 coming 9th overall in a Race of 114 runners – Results HERE.

John Cookson competed in the 800m at the Mid Lancs fixture at Preston and then stayed in the area on Sunday, running in the Worden Park 10k at Leyland. John place 54th in a time of 44:44 – Results HERE.
