Alison Leonard took on her first 800m of the season at Trafford  – (RESULTS) – on May 17th. In a ‘messy mixed race’  Alison finished with a time of 2.02.25 and commented “all signs are looking good for the next few races” with her next Race being a 1500m race in the IAAF World Challenge meeting in Hengelo on Sunday May 22nd.

And she wasn’t kidding. In Hengelo –  RESULTS  – she smashed her 1500m PB by nearly four seconds, finishing in 4th place setting a new PB time of 4.09.59 in a Race won by Besu Sado of Ethiopia in 4.05.30. Not only that, her run took her to Number One in the National Rankings with training partner Hannah England in 2nd place.

Joe Monk was over at the Trafford Grand Prix in the 3000m and targeting a PB at the distance. His previous best time was 9.10.00, also run at Trafford and he did it again by knocking off nearly three seconds to set a new PB of 9.07.06. (RESULTS)

U17 Sam Pearson-Moore had his first ever outing at Trafford and it went really well for him as he won the Javelin (700g) with a throw of 38.82 and just outside his PB of 39.55m. (RESULTS)
