Over in America, Blackburn Harriers U23 David Holman is in tremendous form in the outdoor season. Having set 800m and 1500m outdoor personal bests which added to his indoor personal bests over the mile and 3000m, he is going from strength to strength holding the current Club Records for 1500m Indoors (3.44.44) & Outdoors (3.41.51) as well as the Indoor mile (3.59.99). Yesterday May 4th David ran the Duke Twilight 1500m Section 1 race where he placed 10th with a new PB time of 3.39. 80 to become the first Blackburn Harrier to run sub 3.40 in the 1500m, breaking his own Club Record in the process. Delightedly, David spoke to the Club after his race telling us that he was “Really happy to run sub 3:40 today. Was on my own for quite a bit as the race was strung out, but managed to hold on and run 3:39. Going up to altitude tomorrow to prepare for Nationals, then home in 3 weeks to start chasing the euro standard.”
