Our Annual Celebration Evening on Friday November 28th 2025 had lots to celebrate with multiple successes throughout the year. The Northern League Premier West Division was won again as defending champions whilst the UKYDL Upper Age Group and Lower Age Group teams both won their West 1 Division titles to be promoted to the Premier Division in both age categories in 2026. On the evening itself – Chairwoman Caerwen Butler introduced the Guest of Honour – Gregg Stevenson – who would later present all of the Awards to the successful athletes. Gregg is a double leg amputee who managed to overcome his situation and go on to inspirationaly, win the Rowing Gold Medal at the Para Olympics in Paris – a quite astonishing achievement of mental and physical courage. His talk to the packed out room went down really well and indeed, the film of his boat inching up to the line and winning the gold medal was met with thunderous applause from the assembled athletes.
The Awards were split into sections covering Cross Country; Road; Fell; Indoors; Sportshall – followed by Track Endurance; Track Sprints; Jumps; Throws; Track Vets; Track Multi-Event. The last section covered Team of the Year; Most Improved Athletes; Athlete of the Year; A.C.E Award. All Award Winners are listed below.
