V65 Mike Hazlewood was out in action at Huddinge AIS Friidrott on June 8th and was understandably happy with his overall performance in the Throws Pentathlon featuring five Throws. Mike told the club that “I managed to win my age group (and beat the current European champion by a huge 15 points!!!). My result was: hammer – 37.42 (757 points). Shot – 10.34 (732), discus- 35.95 (702), javelin- 34.49 (646) & weight – 14.56 (806). Total points 3642”.

10272729_10152270868672730_2876858910035094529_oThe Race won by Marc Hartley in 83.17 saw Andy kept up his charge for the Vet 40 title overall with a fifth place on the day and second V40 in 89.32. A royal battle took place between John Sutton and Gary Pearse, with John home in 7th place and 3rd V40 (92.30) and Gary seconds behind in 8th (92.33) and 4th V40. V45 Jonathan Bridge took 24th spot at the finish with 97.59 and fifth V45.

Tom Blaney returning from a long period of injury cjose the Preston Duathlon to est out his fitness and was joined by V40 John Sutton. Tom won the event consisting of a one mile run, four mile bike ride and one mile run in 22.25 and John came second in 23.24.
