Another Major Championship Medal for Holly Bradshaw – added to her total of Medals won at the European Indoor Championships. In 2013 Holly won Gold followed by winning the Silver Medal in 2019. On Saturday March 6th 2021, she won the Bronze Medal after very narrowly missing out on clearing the ultimate winning height of 4.75m with her jumps being considerably higher than the height, but shaving the bar on the way down. As Holly commented after the event – ‘such small margins’.
Holly spoke to the Harriers after the Medal ceremony telling us “I am obviously gutted but I gave it my all and this is why sport is so amazing! In pole vault there are such small margins and unfortunately it didn’t go my way and other girls jumped incredibly well which is brilliant. I have lots of positives from the competition yesterday and especially my indoor season. It’s more than I ever could have asked for in these uncertain times so for that I am happy, proud and stoked now to get back into training and prep for the Olympics. I couldn’t be in a better place”.
