Back at Graves Park in Sheffield for the Northern Cross Country Relays, Blackburn Harriers had teams out in the U17W Women, U17 Men, U15 Girls and Senior Women. Our U17 Women – Lottie Smith, Isabelle Perry and Charlotte Robertshaw had just seven seconds between each of their runs – Lottie posting 9.42, Isabelle 9.36 and Charlotte 9.43 for a combined time of 29.02 in 12 th place.
These were followed by the U17 Men’s race in which the Harriers had two teams out – Oliver Gill, Sam Aspey and Jack Wood in team 1 and Ethan Cutler, Henry Ward and Logan McCredie in team 2. Oliver led team 1 with the fastest leg of the day (7.06) backed up by Sam on Leg 2 with 7.16 and Jack Wood on the final leg running 7.22 which gave them a combined time of 21.45 and the Bronze Medal. Our second team was headed by Ethan running 7.48, with Henry on 2nd running 7.37 and Logan on thre last Leg with a time of 7.50, resulting in a combined time of 23.15 and 13th position.

Two teams again in the U15 Girls who finished 8th and 14th out of the 25 full teams competing. Emma Robertshaw lead off on the first Leg for team 1 in a time of 8.09, handing over to Millie Jordan in 15th spot – Millie finishing in 10th with a time of 8.09 and passing over to Agatha Taylor on the final Leg who pulled back a further two places with her 8.21. Lottie Hesketh took the first Leg for team 2 placing 21st in 8.58 and on the 2nd Leg Bella McCredie came home in 20th running 9.19 before handing over to Charlotte Smith who grabbed back six places with her run of 8.46.

Unfortunately our Senior Women’s team had to be run as a part team which had Evie Taylor and Rebecca Ward flying the blue and white. Thirty four fiull teams and five part teams lined up for the Senior Women’s Relay – won by Trafford, from Birtley in 2nd and City of York in 3rd. U20 Evie took the first Leg in 13.37 with team mate V40 Rebecca on Leg 2 running 14.35.
