Laura told the Club that she had Competed in the Trailblaster 12 last Sunday in all kinds of weather completing 6 5k loops to reach the teams target of 100 miles in 12 hours. Really enjoyed the experience and thought I recovered well & felt ok during the week just gave myself a couple of days rest. A little breezy at Podium 5k Saturday I was hoping for sub 19 but ended up with 19:17, feeling tired on the last 2 laps. Arrived at Stanley Park Sunday hoping the legs would feel better. Unfortunately the wind had got quite strong which didn’t help but managed to dig in & was glad to get round in 40:31 with a nice 1st lady finish. Hope that’s OK George no pics on as yet but will try get one”.
