The Greenway 5k, latest race in the Pendle & Burnley Grand Prix Series, took plac e on a warm summers evening, Wednesday 17th July with a number of senior and junior Blackburn Harriers taking on the various races (RESULTS). Barlick’s Thomas Corrigan won the Race in a time of 15.44 and the winner of the Women’s race was Blackburn Harriers Ellen Sagar-Hesketh who ran 19.27. V55 David Almond was racing for the first time in a while after injury, finished in 22nd spot and 3rd V55 in a time of 18.34. Leah Hoole was the first Junior Woman home in a time of 20.09 and 4th woman overall. In the Junior Races, Ryker Hanson continued with his good form placing 4th overall in 7.29 in the U11/U13 race. whilst in the U15/U17 Race Theo Robinson came home in 2nd place overall in 10.44 and 1st U17 followed immediately by Millie Jordan who won the U15 girls race in 10.48, Charlotte Smith who placed 3rd in the U15 Girls race running 11.32 and Liam Bennison finishing 4th in the U15 Boys race with a time of 12.10.
