As many of you know, Mark Almond ran this years London Marathon in memory of his father – Arthur Almond long time Endurance Coach for the Club and mentor of many athletes over the years. Mark was also using the Race to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. To-date the London Marathon contributions that have come in for Mark’s run (3:25.22) look to have raised over £3500.00.

Mark plans to hold a Sports On-Line Auction in June/July this year and is hopeful that with the articles which have been donated so far – including a signed vest from Mo Farah, that the figure of £5000.00 can be reached. Details from Mark at –  [email protected]
