After winning the GB Open Pentathlon Championship in June Samantha Murray was back amongst the Medals at the European Championships held in Hungary last weekend and after the Championships, she told the Club that “I’ve had a positive championships here in Hungary. 8th in the individual is a strong performance and shows that even with weak areas, I can still secure a top 10 finish. The silver in the relay was a lovely way to finish the championships. Now I have some time off to recover and then will begin my preparations for the world championships. Thank you to everyone at Harriers for the continued support and congratulations to Alison- what a fabulous result!”

In the individual championships Sam finished in 8th place – the highest GB finisher – and then went on to pair with Joe Evans in the Mixed Relays coming away with a Silver Medal and just three points off the Gold. The Senior World Championships take place in September (Warsaw) and we wish Sam all the best for those.
