Sunday 16th December witnessed the latest annual staging of the Turkey Trot which had 236 finishers organised as in previous years by an effervescent Blackburn Harrier – Chris Barnes. By popular consensus the Race was a hit with everyone and many promise to come back next year….and why not when one prize winner, our very own Grace Handley won enough chocolate to upstage Willy Wonka and here is the proof – and not a Turkey in sight!!!
However, she is under strict instructions to share her prize with the Club Secretary!!
Even though a number of the Harriers had competed at Hyndburn the previous day in the Mid Lancs Cross Country League, eighteen from the Club couldn’t turn down the lure of the chocolate and the chance to dress up.
