Fixture Three of the YDL (Lower Age Group) was hosted at Preston by Lancaster & Morecambe AC, the day producing fine weather and some very good performances overall. The Harriers finished 5th with 479 Match Points and only twenty three points away from 4th spot in the seven team division. With the first four Clubs all scoring 500 plus points, it was a tough ask to break into that group. Nevertheless, the athletes showed real team determination with some of them doing events for the first time and equally, taking on a number of events, producing sixteen individual wins, seven second and twelve third places and among those results twenty new PB’s.
