New PB for Nick and Jacob wins at Trafford
Tuesday night saw the first Trafford Meeting of the season run in good conditions, warm and little or no wind, in complete contrast to some of the weather that the athletes had experienced over the weekend.
Bottom of age U20 Nick Smith went in Heat 4 of the 800m with a personal best of 2.09.51 and bettered that by nearly two seconds as he clocked a new PB of 2.06.96 to kick off his track season in very good style.

He didn’t disappoint. With a target of sub 5.00 in mind, he came home with a very good time of 4.47.87 in Heat 1 with Hollie Cubbon running in Heat 3 finishing in 5.29.44.
