This is a Video of the 1976 Three Peaks Race featuring two of Blackburn Harrier’s best ever endurance runners  – John Calvert and Harry Walker.

Between them John and Harry won the Three Peaks five times.

The Race was won by Blackburn Harrier John Calvert  and was commentated on by current Blackburn Harriers President – George Kirby.

John won the Race in 1976 in a time of 2hr 43.59 and again in 1977 with 2hr 51.04.

Harry won the Race in 1978 in 2hr 43.34 and then went on to win in 1979 in 2hr 53.11 and again in 1981 (2hr 56.34).
