Boulsworth Fell Race – August 9th

Gary Pearse lined up with one hundred and thirty three other runners in good conditions at the Boulsworth Fell Race and finished well up the field in 17th spot overall and 2nd V50 with a time of 48.36. This Race was part of the Burnley Grand Prix which saw Gary finish in the top ten for the overall Series and the winner of the V50 Category which is a cracking achievement.

Gary told the Club after the Race that “Note the dubious photos at Boulsworth, photogenic could never be used in that context. Had quite a strong descent in that one so pleased and it was the final Grand Prix race so really chuffed with sneaking in the top ten for the series, best of 9 from13, and coming first in the v50 category. Always a tough series to recover and stay constant after the Peaks but did ok”.
